Second Grade
About the Teacher
Hello! My name is Jessica Young and I am excited to be teaching your student! I grew up in Washington State and moved to Utah when I started my undergraduate degree! I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and a Masters Degree in Education from Southern Utah University. Additionally, I have endorsements in educational technology and teaching English as a second language. Currently, I'm working on finishing a third educational endorsement in math.
This is my sixth year of teaching and my fifth year at Spanish Oaks. I previously taught at Canyon Elementary, where I also taught Second Grade. I'm excited to be part of the Explorers here at Spanish Oaks! I love to read, run, swim, and try new things! I got engaged over the I've wanted to be a teacher ever since I was in grade school so that I could help kids fall in love with learning. I believe that all children can succeed and I'm willing to do whatever I can to help each student feel successful as they leave school each day. I'm in love with what I do and am excited about this school year!
Feel free to message me with any questions, comments, or concerns that you have! I'd love to hear from you!
